Terms of Service

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it to these terms.

Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at lumexlink@golumex.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

• Your handle is licensed to you for use with the Service, not owned by you.
• Some handles are reserved for the Service and cannot be claimed.
• We may reclaim or reassign a handle that impersonates a person or brand, infringes a trademark, is needed to comply with law, or belongs to an account inactive for more than 12 months.
• When you delete your account, your handle is released immediately and may be claimed by someone else.
• Changing your handle breaks links and QR codes that use the old one.
• Short links at lumex.link point to your page. We may change how short links are routed, but will keep existing links working wherever reasonably possible.

You keep ownership of the text, images, and links you publish. You grant Lumex a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and transmit that content only as needed to operate the Service, and to feature your page as an example with your permission. You confirm you have the rights to everything you publish.

You may not use the Service to:

• Publish illegal content, or content that sexualizes minors.
• Impersonate any person, brand, or organization, or mislead visitors about who you are.
• Phish, collect credentials or payment details under false pretences, or distribute malware.
• Link to scams, pyramid schemes, or deceptive financial or health offers.
• Harass or threaten anyone, or promote violence or hatred against any person or group.
• Infringe copyright, trademark, or other rights.
• Send spam, or collect visitor information without a lawful basis.
• Interfere with, overload, scrape, or reverse engineer the Service, claim handles in bulk, or inflate analytics artificially.

We may remove content or suspend pages that break these rules, with or without notice. To report a page, use our contact form and select “Report a page”.

If you collect information through a lead form, you are responsible for it. That includes telling visitors how you will use their information, having a lawful basis to collect it, and complying with anti-spam laws, including Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), before sending commercial messages.

We send service messages about your account, security, and changes to these terms. We send product updates only if you opted in, and every update includes an unsubscribe link.

LumexLink is currently free. We may add, change, or remove features, and may introduce optional paid features in future. We will never charge you without your explicit agreement. We may limit usage to keep the Service reliable for everyone.

The Service, its software and design, and the LumexLink and Lumex names and logos belong to Lumex. These terms give you no rights to them beyond using the Service as intended. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

Pages link to websites and services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that analytics will be complete or exact.

To the extent permitted by law, Lumex is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to CAD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

You agree to indemnify Lumex against claims, losses, and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these terms.

• You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, after confirming your handle. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your page goes offline, your handle is released, and your content, lead submissions, and analytics are deleted. We cannot restore a deleted account.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, or if the law requires it.
• Sections 9, 11, 12, 13, and 15 continue to apply after your account ends.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. You and Lumex agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Saskatchewan, except where your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

We will post changes on this page and update the effective date. For material changes, we will email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
